Your Committment

As an AEC Employer you commit to achieve the following within your organisation. In doing so, the AEC Team and the Government will assist and support you, your mentors and your new workers through a network of online education, case studies, networking forums, guide books and the fiftythousandjobs hotline.

The commitment:

• guarantee jobs, previously approved by Employment Covenant, to Indigenous job-seekers who successfully complete training in accordance with your company's training specifications;

• provide entry level training specifications to Government funded training providers for the available Jobs;

• assign Indigenous participants who are employed upon completion of training with a one-on-one Workplace Mentor, from the workplace, a comparative industry or the community (in order of preference);

• ensure that workplace culture and practices are supportive of the recruitment, retention and development of Indigenous employees;

• ensure that workplace practices and terms of employment are non-discriminatory of Indigenous employees; and

• raise awareness of its participation in the AEC within the workplace and assign responsibilities to management and individual employees to ensure compliance with the AEC Employer Commitments set out in this clause.
