Training Providers – Getting the job seeker prepared
The AEC is an employer driven national collaboration to improve Indigenous economic participation. As such, employers and employment service providers will play a large role in the success of the AEC.
The AEC advocates a “learn to earn policy” for all Australians who have the capacity to work. Nowhere is this more critical than to those members of the Indigenous community who currently exist on welfare.
The AEC is the first of its kind and represents a significant commitment to providing the majority of Indigenous Australians, who are prepared to work with a real opportunity to achieve their full potential as productive members of Australian society.
The training community are a vital component of the AEC initiative. It is important that Training Providers are able to supply applicants who are trained to the minimum specifications of roles detailed by Employers, in locations as required by Employers and at a time when the Employer requires applicants. Employers have guaranteed to employ people when they meet minimum employment specifications, when and where employers need them.
